Watford Under-21s conceded twice in the last 10 minutes as they drew 3-3 at Sheffield Wednesday in the PL Professional Development League.
Alexander Asaba scored both late goals for the hosts to deny the Hornets after they had opened up a convincing lead.
Wednesday did score first, Donald Kamwa finding the back of the net, but the advantage did not last long.
Amin Nabizada drew the Hornets level just after the hour mark, beating his man and dispatching an effort with his left foot.
By half-time, Watford were 3-1 up.
Travis Akomeah scored the first, knocking the ball into the net after home keeper Logan Stretch dropped a cross.
And Jack Grieves was next to score, finishing off a smart move just before the break.
Watford looked set to see out the victory, but Asaba pulled one back from close range with nine minutes to play.
And deep into added time Asaba was at it again, concerting a deflected cross.
The Under-21s are next in action against Hull City at Vicarage Road on Friday.
